HISTORY

Founded in 1993 has collected, through the years, youngs come from the Dominican Republic and Haiti. It represents a real possibility of survival for guys, that were destined to the street.

MISSION

Provide to about 70 orphan kids a house, therapies and education through instruction, for helping them to become indipendent and productive members of their comunity.

FEATURES

A structured reality arising in a context of social degradation: many children arrive in orphanage after being taken away from their families of origin from the court because of mistreatment and abuse. There are young people abandoned because they are disabled or because families can not provide for them. Many are the kids with a history of abandonment that no longer have any parental reference. The orphanage takes care of primary needs by providing education for the purpose of building for each kid the possibility to build a future outside the structure.

DEVELOPMENT LINES

SPACE RATIONALIZATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF ROOMS IN THE CENTRAL BODY

Over the years, the female orphanage has undergone a transformation which makes the current structure of the rooms not suitable for girls. Adequate spaces for small children, washrooms with hot water and working bathrooms are as well still missing.

PROJECT IDEA THAT WE WILL FINANCE WITH THE JOURNEY OF 7MML “H2OPLANET” EUROPA2019

Realize dormitories, areas for little girls aged under three, toilets and showers for about 40 girls in the central body of the structure.
Install photovoltaic panels to produce energy
Re-adapt the current building, now used as a dormitory, to be assigned to professional school, possibly to be opened also to the pueblo.
